Production Section Head

Role Overview

The Production Section Head oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of all production projects, ensuring high-quality output across video, photography, live events, and multimedia assets. The role requires strong leadership, technical production expertise, and the ability to manage teams, workflows, budgets, and external vendors. This role is key in supporting large-scale national campaigns, government events, and strategic communication initiatives.


Key Responsibilities

1. Production Leadership

  • Lead the full production lifecycle for video, photo, audio, and live event content.
  • Translate creative concepts into executable production plans.
  • Ensure all productions meet brand, creative, and strategic communication standards.

2. Project & Workflow Management

  • Develop production schedules, timelines, resource allocations, and delivery plans.
  • Oversee pre-production, filming, post-production, and final delivery.
  • Implement strong quality control processes across all production outputs.

3. Team Management

  • Manage a team of production specialists, videographers, photographers, editors, and coordinators.
  • Build team capabilities, ensure high performance, and provide continuous training.
  • Assign responsibilities according to project needs and skill sets.

4. Vendor & Stakeholder Coordination

  • Work with production houses, studios, freelance crews, and creative agencies.
  • Negotiate budgets, manage vendor performance, and ensure timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with internal creative, content, social media, and communication teams.

5. Production Governance & Standards

  • Establish production guidelines, templates, approval workflows, and compliance controls.
  • Ensure all content aligns with safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain asset archives, equipment inventory, and production documentation.

6. Budget & Resource Management

  • Manage production budgets and ensure cost efficiency without compromising quality.
  • Assess and procure equipment, tools, and technologies required for operations.
  • Monitor expenditures and optimize production costs.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Media Production, Film, Broadcasting, or related field.
  • 10+ years of production experience , including leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale productions for government entities or premium agencies .
  • Strong understanding of video production, photography, lighting, sound, and post-production.
  • Experience leading multi-disciplinary production teams.
  • Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic preferred.
