The purpose of this position is to lead the design, development, and industrialization of mechanical subsystems and components for weapon systems. The Specialist Production Engineer provides technical expertise and production line support, ensuring all mechanical components meet design, safety, and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical subsystems and components in line with performance and product specifications.
• Lead industrialization activities and implement design improvements and cost reduction initiatives.
• Conduct engineering analyses, investigations, and testing throughout all product life-cycle phases.
• Participate in design reviews, prototype fabrication, and mechanical testing.
• Provide technical support to production, resolving material, assembly, and process non-conformances.
• Liaise with suppliers to address manufacturing challenges and improve product quality.
• Generate and maintain production documentation including PPAPs and technical reports.
• Participate in MRB and PCMB meetings to address mechanical design or manufacturing issues.
• Mentor and support engineers and technicians in mechanical design and production problem-solving.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Diploma in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related field).
• 15–20 years’ experience in the defense industry, preferably in weapon system design, testing, and production.
• Proven hands-on experience in mechanical design and production support.
• Working knowledge of Military and Commercial standards.
• Experience in problem-solving, fault-finding, and continuous improvement processes.
• Strong proficiency in CAD and mechanical analysis tools.
• Knowledge of safety-critical systems and material characteristics.
