Job Purpose:
- The Program Assistant I at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to ensure the efficient functioning of programs within the organization. This role involves assisting in the coordination of program activities, maintaining records, and facilitating communication among team members to support the delivery of high-quality behavioral health services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning and coordination of program activities and events.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records and documentation related to program operations.
- Facilitate communication between program staff, clients, and external partners to ensure effective collaboration.
- Support the preparation and distribution of program materials and reports.
- Provide administrative support such as scheduling meetings, managing calendars, and handling correspondence.
- Assist in monitoring program budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance with financial guidelines.
- Respond to inquiries from clients and stakeholders in a professional and timely manner.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of program processes and procedures.
Required Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent; an associate degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.
Required Experience:
- At least 1 year of experience in an administrative or support role, preferably within a behavioral health or social services setting.
- Experience in managing schedules, coordinating meetings, and handling confidential information.
- Familiarity with behavioral health practices and terminology is an advantage.
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other relevant software applications.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact professionally with clients, staff, and external partners.
