Director, Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation
Purpose:
The job holder will be overseeing all Corporate Governance unit under the Center activities/programs and budgets in report to the center director. He/She will be responsible for assisting director in mapping out, designing and executing activities and expanding and launching different programs for the center Corporate Governance unit. The position entails overseeing different activity employees and managing the fulfillment of their tasks towards the success of the activity/program. The purpose of this role is to develop, maintain, and build strong relationships with stakeholders, engage them in informative dialogue, and ensure effective fund raising and implementation of gifts and grants.
Responsibilities:
Center Design and Development

Plan, research, design and develop Center Corporate Governance objectives according to school strategy, access of funding and fulfilling and catalyzing gaps in the ecosystem

Manage business development efforts and fund-raising initiatives for the Center Corporate Governance

Apply for gifts and grants through proposal writing, follow up and manage them
Center Planning and Promotion

Plan and coordinate the annual strategy of the center Corporate Governance
-
Prepare and manage the annual Center Corporate Governance budget and external gifts/grants for approval by the Center director
-
Aggregate experts network and design events around them to keep ecosystem engaged and up to date

Establish and maintain relationships with regulators, donors and partners

Manage internal and external communications strategy

Work in raising awareness of CEI Corporate Governance activities/programs through various networking channels

Participate in relevant groups, forums, and meetings
-
Ensure the CEI Corporate Governance website and social media platforms are consistently maintained, updated, and expanded to increase its reach and engagement

Maintain a comprehensive record of all the partners and the regulators' communication materials
Overseeing Programs Delivery
-
Schedule Center Corporate Governance programs/activities, manage the planning of events and conferences related to CEI activities

Responsible for managing and handling workshops, roundtables and capacity building programs

Recruit, hire and orient qualified program managers, officers and coordinators in liaison with the department director

Manage department staff to ensure the availability of the resources needed for effective and quality delivery of programs/activities

Ensure that the training programs offered under the gifts/grants are monitored, reviewed, and evaluated
Stakeholder Engagement and Relationship Building

Identify and prioritize key stakeholders based on relevance to the Center’s goals
-
Engage stakeholders in discussions and activities to achieve shared objectives
-
Cultivate strong and lasting relationships with stakeholders through regular communication, trust-building, and addressing their concerns proactively

Effectively manage and resolve conflicts with stakeholders, ensuring alignment and collaboration
Management and Administration

Create and renew contracts, MoUs, service provider, and consultant/instructors’ agreements
-
Maintain a comprehensive record of all past and present MoUs and agreements
-
Ensure compliance of invoices, purchase and payment orders
-
Follow up with relevant offices on pending issues

Provide general administrative support to the Center Corporate Governance unit junior staff
Quality Assurance and Reporting

Supervise and manage Center Corporate Governance activities for efficient and effective implementation

Set and assess KPIs for center activities team(s)

Manage the M&E reporting for all CEI Corporate Governance related programs including grants and gifts

Assist Center Director in all further needed activities
Requirements:
Minimum Education Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in business administration, management, or international development
-
Master’s degree is a plus
Experience:
-
Project management, grants management, or related field
-
Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship building
Skills:

Self-motivation and the ability to work effectively both individually and in teams

Ability to interact and effectively communicate with a wide array of constituents exhibiting institution’s mission and goals

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong strategic planning and project management skills necessary to set and evaluate progress against goals, develop plans and timelines, establish policies and procedures and manage data to meet tight deadlines while maintaining good relations with colleagues

Proficiency in understanding donor regulations.

Proven ability in developing and managing effective relationships across all levels and functional areas of an organization; ability to collaborate and influence at a high level

Attention to detail and accuracy in reporting.

Familiarity with database management.

Knowledge of marketing and communications strategies.

Highly collaborative and productive with the ability to turn strategy into action
