Project Assistant - Civil Engineering Background

As a Project Assistant at MZT, you will partner with our Project Managers and other divisions to work on creating and updating project documentation across multiple projects simultaneously. You will interact with company leadership to gather information on project milestones and deadlines and participate in project meetings to take notes on important data/facts related to each project. You will also prepare and organize project documentation while also communicating information to our field staff to ensure they can deliver successful outcomes on projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with creating, updating, and maintaining construction project documentation including schedules, budgets, and other various documents.
  • Collect, review, and input project data into project filing systems
  • Track deadlines, milestones, and deliverables across multiple projects.
  • Prepare reports, meeting notes, and scheduling updates for project teams and management.
  • Coordinate communication between project managers, field staff, subcontractors, and internal departments.
  • Organize project documentation and maintain accurate records.
  • Provide general administrative support to the Scheduling Department.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 1-3 years of administrative or project support experience (construction industry preferred).
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Team-oriented with a proactive attitude.

Nice to Have:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or similar field

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
