Project Coordinator

A Mechanical Project Coordinator with a metal factory acts as the central link between the engineering team, shop floor production, procurement, and on-site installation teams. They ensure that metal fabrication projects (e.g., structural steel, metal panels, MEP components) are completed on time, within budget, and to technical specifications

A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required, along with experience in Metal work.

Key Responsibilities

• Project Documentation & Control: Maintain and update project documents, including RFI (Requests for Information), shop drawings, submittals, and change orders.
• Production Coordination: Liaise between design teams and the workshop/fabrication team to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant manufacturing.
• Scheduling & Tracking: Monitor project progress against schedules, identifying potential delays and implementing corrective actions.
• Procurement Support: Secure pricing from vendors, assist with procurement, and track material delivery to ensure on-time availability.
• Quality & Safety Assurance: Ensure that all fabricated metal components adhere to quality standards (QA/QC) and safety regulations.
• Communication Hub: Act as the primary point of contact for project managers, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Site Liaison: Coordinate with site teams for installation, providing technical support and troubleshooting fabrication challenges.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 2+ years of experience in project coordination, specifically within metal fabrication, manufacturing
• Technical Skills: Strong skills in MS Office (especially Excel), MS Project, or other project management software, any other programs will be advantage
• Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
