Job Summary
The Project Manager (Architecture & Design-Build) is a strategic leadership role responsible for managing high-profile projects from concept through completion, with a strong focus on project delivery, coordination, and execution. The role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with defined scope and quality standards by overseeing planning, tracking progress, managing risks, and coordinating with design teams, consultants, and contractors without directly managing the design function. Acting as the primary point of contact, the Senior Project Manager maintains clear communication with clients and stakeholders, aligns all parties, and drives overall project success and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage architectural and design-build projects from concept to completion, serving as the primary Project Manager to ensure timely delivery, scope compliance, and alignment with client expectations, while overseeing project schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
- Maintain and safeguard design intent across all project stages by ensuring high standards of architectural quality, technical accuracy, and detailing, and conducting thorough reviews of drawings, specifications, and technical submissions.
- Serve as the main point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle, leading meetings, presentations, and design reviews, while building strong relationships to ensure client satisfaction and foster repeat business.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to ensure seamless integration of all disciplines into the overall design, proactively resolving design conflicts and technical issues.
- Oversee the preparation, review, and submission of all project documentation, working closely with the Document Controller to maintain organized records and ensure compliance with UAE regulations, authority requirements, and industry standards.
- Manage the interface between design and construction teams in design-build projects, ensuring constructability, cost-efficiency, and alignment between design and execution, while supporting site coordination as needed to maintain design quality.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies, address design and coordination challenges efficiently, and ensure minimal disruption to project timelines and deliverables.
- Prepare and circulate clear Minutes of Meeting (MoMs) with defined action items, track their progress to ensure timely completion, and provide regular project updates and reports to senior management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field.
- 5-8 years of experience in UAE for healthcare, residential, commercial, hospitality, and/or institutional design sectors
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD, Naviswork, SketchUp, Microsoft Project, and other related software.
- Strong understanding of UAE building codes, design standards, and sustainable practices.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex designs clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong collaborative skills, with a proactive approach to working within a multidisciplinary team environment.
