Job Summary:

The Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of firefighting system projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards, timelines, and budget requirements. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of fire protection systems (hydrant, sprinkler, foam, detection & alarm systems) and proven experience managing projects in the firefighting or fire protection industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end execution of firefighting projects (industrial, commercial, residential, or infrastructure).
  • Review design drawings, BOQs, and technical specifications to ensure alignment with client requirements and NFPA/UL/FM standards.
  • Prepare project schedules, resource allocation plans, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate with design, procurement, and execution teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
  • Manage site execution activities, supervise installation teams, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  • Liaise with consultants, contractors, and clients for approvals, inspections, and project updates.
  • Monitor project budgets and control costs through effective project management.
  • Ensure compliance with local fire authority requirements and relevant codes (NFPA, NBC, FM Global, etc.).
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans to prevent project delays or cost overruns.
  • Conduct site visits and progress meetings; prepare handover documentation and ensure successful project closure.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering (preferred).
  • 5–10 years of experience in project management within the firefighting / fire protection industry.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA standards, FM Global, UL-listed equipment, and local fire regulations.
  • Experience in handling fire hydrant systems, sprinkler systems, fire alarm & detection systems, foam systems, and gas suppression systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • PMP or equivalent certification (preferred).
