Project Scheduler

Role Summary: The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling the integrated project schedule for the EPC of a heat treatment and finishing at ArcelorMittal TPJ or JESCO. The role involves coordinating with engineering, procurement, construction teams, and contractors to ensure that project milestones are met on time and within budget. The Scheduler will utilize advanced scheduling tools to provide clear visibility into progress, delays, and recovery strategies, enabling proactive project management in alignment with the company’s objectives and regulatory compliance.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a detailed, and logically linked Level 3/4 project schedule for the EPC project.
  • Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to collect input and update progress.
  • Monitor critical paths, identify schedule deviations, and propose recovery plans to maintain project timelines.
  • Generate weekly and monthly progress reports including S-curves, histograms, look-ahead schedules, and KPI dashboards.
  • Support the project team in managing interfaces between disciplines and contractors to avoid delays.
  • Analyze schedule impact of design changes, construction delays, material deliveries, and vendor lead times.
  • Maintain baseline schedules and perform earned value management (EVM) analysis.
  • Participate in project meetings, management presentations, and audits related to planning and scheduling.
  • Assist in evaluation of claims analysis, time impact analysis (TIA), and delay justifications if required.
  • Ensure full compliance with company scheduling procedures, management requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Integrate data from project control tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, ERP, SAP, Oracle, EDMS) into progress and executive dashboards.


Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Industrial, or equivalent) or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of experience project planning and scheduling roles, ideally within EPC or industrial plant construction projects. Heat treatment and finishing line experience is an added advantage.
  • Strong exposure to working on mega projects is preferred.
  • Proven experience in large-scale industrial construction projects in the GCC region, preferably in Jubail or other industrial cities.
  • Familiarity with project phases: engineering, procurement, fabrication, construction, commissioning.
  • Hands on experience on using Project Scheduling software like Primavera P6, MS Project. MS Excel, Power Bi etc.


Skills:

  • PSP (Planning & Scheduling Professional) – AACE International (Preferred)
  • PMI-SP (Scheduling Professional) – Project Management Institute (Preferred)
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) – PMI (Added advantage)
  • Certification in Primavera P6 is a plus Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
