Role Summary
Working independently, the PM will execute fit-out projects for hospitality and entertainment projects. The PM will be responsible for the overall planning, coordination, and management of multiple projects by leading multi-disciplinary teams including subcontractors through project activities to meet client requirements and complete projects successfully, safely, within quality, within budget, and on-time.
Role Description
Overall management of projects including client servicing involving the following functions:

Review project details, prepare a plan, and brief the team (Project Kick Off)

Reviewing/managing and overseeing the Project Delivery Schedule

Review plan and manage Shop drawings, and materials submittal process as well as guide the setting out on joinery detailing

Planning and managing the flow of information from sites/clients to setting out, like material submittal approvals, site surveys, installation planning & coordination

Lead and manage coordination with internal functions namely the production department and other areas of the company to ensure a smooth flow of jobs, delivery, and completion

Checking materials allowed details and obtaining clearance for variations

Review specifications of the project and obtain clearance for discrepancies between specs and estimated details

Overseeing advance planning and identification of project material requirement

Overseeing material requisitions issuance in a timely manner so that all materials arrive before production is commenced

Identification of RFI’s and managing the process of getting the information to the setting out team

Overseeing the sourcing of hardware accessories and optimizing where possible

Overseeing the timely project drawings approval process

Providing guidance and overseeing the issuance to the factory of cutting lists, loading lines

Coordination with the site team and setting out for getting timely site surveys or arranging alternative options for issuing the job if site surveys are not possible such as over-sizing and following an agreed setting out plan (usually the case on fast-track projects)

Effective Interpretation and management of contractual requirements and obligations

Overseeing follow-up and follow-through of project-related procurement

Overseeing communication with client or client reps and managing their quality and delivery expectations in a satisfactory manner

Steering and complying with Reporting requirements

Forward planning schedules and forecasts for cutting lists issuance to manufacturing

As a leader contribute and participate in process improvement initiatives that lead to measurable improvements over time

Scrutinizing and giving guidance to the setting out team on joinery shop drawings in order to ensure efficient manufacturing process, installation, and client satisfaction
Candidate Requirements

Minimum of eight to ten years of similar experience in a joinery manufacturing company with experience in managing hospitality and entertainment projects

Suitable experience and understanding of the joinery fabrication process, from site survey to working with a setting out team on preparation of fabrication shop drawings and cutting lists, through to checking of material take-offs and ordering, etc

Sound knowledge of fabrication procedures and a wide understanding of joinery materials including timber, boards, veneers, laminates, hardware, fabrics, glass, stone lighting are vital

Strong technical approach and execution capabilities with the ability to solve technical problems and interface details between different types of materials such as wood, glass, fabrics, metals, laminates, etc

Good understanding of ACAD and Microsoft Office applications

Effective communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully in a multinational environment in different geographic locations

An individual with a high responsibility level who can take ownership of matters, good planning & multitasking experience, effective communicator, and a flexible individual who can make decisions and make things happen in a large setup

Would be able to overlook standard detailing practice where possible, motivate his /her setting out and site teams as well as guide the daily workflow in accordance with the priorities, handover dates, and site status
