Job Purpose

The Public Relations Officer (PRO) will be responsible for managing all government liaison activities, corporate documentations, facility licensing, and full employee visa cycles. The ideal candidate must maintain strong operational compliance with UAE labor and immigration laws, Sharjah Health Authority (SHA), Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP), and local municipal authorities.

Key Responsibilities & Duties1. Visa & Immigration Management

  • Processing Visas: Handle end-to-end employee visa applications, renewals, cancellations, status changes, and transfers via Tasheel, Amer, GDRFA, and MOHRE online portals.
  • Medical & Emirates ID: Coordinate and escort employees for medical fitness tests, Emirates ID biometrics, and blood tests required for residency visas.
  • Dependent & Investor Visas: Assist with processing residence visas for company executives, partners, doctors, and sponsored dependents.
  • Labor Contracts & Permits: Draft, submit, and update employment contracts and work permits in line with UAE Labor Law updates.

2. Healthcare Licensing & Facility Compliance

  • Health Authority Liaison: Coordinate with the Sharjah Health Authority (SHA) and MOHAP for facility licensing, operational approvals, and clinical practice permits.
  • Medical Staff Processing: Assist HR in submitting documents for doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals to acquire or renew their professional SHA/MOHAP licenses.
  • Inspectors & Audits: Facilitate smooth visits and inspections by healthcare authorities, Civil Defense, and Sharjah Municipality.

3. Business & Corporate Documentation Management

  • Trade License & Permits: Oversee annual renewals of Commercial Trade Licenses with the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD).
  • Municipal & Civil Defense Approvals: Ensure timely renewal of Signboard permits, Civil Defense safety certificates, tenancy contracts (Ejari/Tawtheeq equivalent in Sharjah), and environmental health approvals.
  • Document Legalization: Handle attestation and legalization of official corporate and personal documents (degrees, power of attorney, commercial agreements) through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) and embassies.

4. Expiry Tracking & Compliance Control

  • Database Maintenance: Maintain an active, error-free database tracking expiration dates for:
  • Employee Residence Visas & Emirates IDs
  • SHA / MOHAP Healthcare Licenses
  • Corporate Trade Licenses, Civil Defense permits, and Lease agreements
  • Penalty Prevention: Issue timely advance notifications to HR and Management to ensure zero fines or regulatory penalties due to delayed renewals.
  • File Management: Keep organized electronic and physical copies of all official government documents, approvals, and employee passport files.

5. Government Relations & External Representation

  • Represent the healthcare group in person at government departments, including GDRFA, Tasheel, Tawjeeh, Police Headquarters, Sharjah Municipality, and SEDD.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing UAE immigration rules, labor laws, MOHRE regulations, and healthcare directives, advising HR leadership accordingly.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Government Portal Proficiency: Mastery of online portals (ICP, GDRFA Sharjah/Dubai, MOHRE/Tasheel, SEDD, SHA, MOHAP).
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of UAE Labor Law, Dubai and Sharjah immigration rules, and healthcare regulatory compliance.
  • Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail for handling strict document verification and expiry schedules.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with government officers and inspectors.
  • Time Management: Ability to manage tight deadlines, priority filings, and urgent administrative approvals simultaneously.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Public Relations, or a related field (High school diploma acceptable with extensive experience).
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of PRO experience in the UAE, preferably within the healthcare, clinic, or hospital sector in Sharjah.
  • Languages:
  • Arabic: Native or Fluent (Essential for reading government letters and dealing with officials directly).
  • English: Professional professional working proficiency (verbal and written).
  • Driving License: Valid UAE Driver’s License with a clean driving record and own vehicle (Required for frequent site and government office visits).

Pay: AED2,000.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
