Public Relations Officer — Job Summary
The Public Relations Officer will ensure the successful implementation of public relations functions, government affairs, and regulatory coordination by liaising with government entities and the Human Resources department. The role ensures that all operational, legal, and compliance requirements are completed efficiently and within deadlines, including specialized support for retail and F&B-related government processes.
Job Responsibilities
- Process, submit, renew, and follow up on all company official transactions with government authorities.
- Handle visa processing, renewals, medical tests, QID applications, and labor permits with the labor office and immigration department.
- Maintain accurate records of employee visas, passports, Qatar IDs, and other critical documentation.
- Monitor exit permit applications and issue permits when required.
- Support employee repatriation procedures when applicable.
- Process, renew, and follow up on driving licenses, vehicle insurance, vehicle registration cards, and labor health cards with relevant authorities.
- Process, renew, and manage official company documentation including trade license, chamber of commerce registration, CR, company ID, municipality approvals, traffic department matters, and customs documentation.
- Manage registrations and approvals related to food production and F&B operations, including coordination with relevant ministries.
- Handle F&B-related government transactions such as food handler certificates, health certifications, inspections, and regulatory compliance.
- Liaise with authorities to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Process company amendments in coordination with government entities.
- Stay updated on labor and regulatory changes affecting company operations.
- Support legal matters related to company registrations and compliance.
- Liaise with government institutions regarding fines, penalties, or official inquiries.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Coordinator of Personnel Services.
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong working knowledge of Qatar labor laws and government authority procedures.
- Experience handling F&B regulatory processes and ministry-related operations.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent relationship-building abilities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Proven experience in public relations and government liaison roles.
- High attention to detail and administrative accuracy.
