Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in raising purchase requests and preparing purchase orders as per project requirements.
- Source and negotiate with vendors for materials such as steel, fasteners, consumables, and erection accessories.
- Coordinate with stores, design, and project teams to ensure material requirements are met on time.
- Maintain and update the vendor database, price lists, and purchase records.
- Follow up with suppliers on order status, dispatch, and delivery timelines.
- Verify invoices, delivery challans, and GRNs for accuracy and completeness before forwarding to accounts.
- Track inventory levels and assist in material planning to avoid stock shortages or excess.
- Support in obtaining quotations and comparative statements for management approval.
- Handle logistics coordination for material movement between fabrication units and project sites.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and documentation standards.
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Commerce / Business Administration / Mechanical / Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the construction or fabrication industry.
- Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and ERP systems.
- Good understanding of vendor management and material flow.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
- Attention to detail and strong follow-up abilities.
