Purchase Assistant

Kuala, India

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in raising purchase requests and preparing purchase orders as per project requirements.
  • Source and negotiate with vendors for materials such as steel, fasteners, consumables, and erection accessories.
  • Coordinate with stores, design, and project teams to ensure material requirements are met on time.
  • Maintain and update the vendor database, price lists, and purchase records.
  • Follow up with suppliers on order status, dispatch, and delivery timelines.
  • Verify invoices, delivery challans, and GRNs for accuracy and completeness before forwarding to accounts.
  • Track inventory levels and assist in material planning to avoid stock shortages or excess.
  • Support in obtaining quotations and comparative statements for management approval.
  • Handle logistics coordination for material movement between fabrication units and project sites.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and documentation standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Commerce / Business Administration / Mechanical / Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the construction or fabrication industry.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and ERP systems.
  • Good understanding of vendor management and material flow.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong follow-up abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
