Job Summary

The Purchase Assistant supports the procurement department in sourcing materials, preparing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials as per project requirements. The role ensures smooth purchasing operations while maintaining cost efficiency and compliance with company policies.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Support

  • Assist in preparing and issuing Purchase Orders (POs).
  • Obtain quotations from suppliers and compare prices.
  • Prepare comparison statements (technical & commercial).
  • Coordinate with suppliers for material availability and lead time.

2. Vendor Coordination

  • Maintain supplier database and contact details.
  • Follow up with suppliers for timely delivery.
  • Resolve minor supply or documentation issues.
  • Assist in vendor evaluation and registration process.

3. Documentation & Record Keeping

  • Maintain purchase records and filing system.
  • Track and update purchase order status.
  • Ensure proper documentation (LPO, Delivery Notes, Invoices).
  • Coordinate with accounts department for invoice verification.

4. Project Coordination

  • Coordinate with site engineers/storekeepers for material requirements.
  • Monitor material delivery schedules.
  • Assist in urgent procurement for site requirements.

5. Inventory Support

  • Coordinate with store department to monitor stock levels.
  • Help in tracking material consumption reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month
