Job Description:
The Purchase Assistant Engineer will support the procurement team in sourcing, evaluating, and purchasing materials, components, and services required for production and operations. The role involves vendor coordination, price negotiation, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining proper purchase documentation while contributing to cost optimization and quality improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement & Sourcing
- Assist in identifying and developing reliable suppliers/vendors.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and prepare purchase orders.
- Negotiate terms of purchase including cost, quality, and delivery timelines
Vendor Managment
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and evaluate their performance regularly.
- Support in vendor audits and quality compliance checks.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
Material & Inventory Coordination
- Coordinate with the store/warehouse for material requirements.
- Monitor stock levels and initiate purchase requests as per demand.
- Ensure proper documentation of GRNs, invoices, and purchase records.
Cost & Quality Control
- Support cost-reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing.
- Work with the quality department to ensure purchased materials meet specifications.
Compliance & Reporting
- Maintain compliance with company procurement policies and industry regulations.
- Prepare purchase reports, MIS, and track pending orders.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering (or relevant field).
- 0-1 years of experience in procurement or purchase (manufacturing / engineering industry preferred).
- Knowledge of ERP/ SAP / MS Excel for purchase management.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and vendor management skills.
- Attention to detail with ability to multitask.

Pay: ₹12,193.43 - ₹30,851.63 per month
