Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the efficient and effective administration of food and beverage purchasing and storeroom operations.
Key Job Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Handle all purchasing functions, including quotations, quality, price, store management, and receiving.
 - Maintain operational inventory levels.
 - Forecast product demand to ensure sustainable inventory.
 - Obtain written approval for established minimum/maximum stock levels from management.
 - Research and identify new products and services in the market.
 - Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers or contractors.
 - Build strong relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and service quality.
 - Monitor vendors for quality, service, and pricing compliance.
 - Obtain competitive quotations and ensure sourcing of the best products.
 - Establish contracts to ensure cost efficiency across operations.
 - Process daily order lists from FOH or BOH and arrange delivery.
 - Request quotations for high-value items and compare prices from various suppliers.
 - Ensure purchase orders and updated price lists are maintained.
 - Verify pending orders regularly and update receiving dates as per supplier commitments.
 - Enter receiving invoices into the system daily and share details with accounts.
 - Check and approve discrepancy reports regarding delivered items.
 - Work a flexible schedule to accomplish responsibilities.
 - Coordinate with department heads to ensure timely delivery and product quality.
 - Use inventory and ordering systems to manage purchase orders, receive goods, and track inventory.
 - Maintain standards in all beverage and food purchasing activities.
 - Process product requests from end users and fulfill orders.
 - Work within budgets and assist department heads to maintain cost targets.
 - Recommend best purchases and alternative products.
 - Maintain adequate PAR levels and manage stock distribution according to FIFO rules.
 - Conduct month-end inventory and update systems.
 - Ensure compliance with safety regulations.
 - Perform other duties as assigned by the Head of Department.
 
Requirements:
- Computer literate, including Excel, email, and Word.
 - Strong mathematics skills.
 - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multitask, and prioritize.
 - Experience in food and beverage or hospitality purchasing preferred.
 - Knowledge of proper food storage practices.
 
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED3,500.00 - AED4,500.00 per month
