Purchase Executive (Packaging Industry)

Key Responsibilities:

• Purchase all raw materials required for packaging production such as:
• Paper (various qualities & GSM)
• Adhesives (Fevicol, hot melt, etc.)
• Lamination rolls & films
• Corrugation reels
• Inks, chemicals & other consumables
• Assess quality, size, and specifications of materials before purchase.
• Negotiate with suppliers for best prices, credit terms, and timely delivery.
• Maintain and develop a strong vendor network for reliable sourcing.
• Work closely with the prepress, printing, and production teams to ensure materials meet technical requirements.
• Maintain proper inventory levels, monitor stock movement, and avoid shortages.
• Track market trends, cost fluctuations, and suggest alternative suppliers when needed.
• Prepare purchase orders, maintain records, and follow up for timely supply.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Good understanding of paper grades, board quality, corrugation materials, adhesives, and lamination films.
• Knowledge of prepress & printing requirements to match material selection.
• Strong negotiation & vendor management skills.
• Ability to manage cost control, stock planning, and timely procurement.

Qualifications:

• Graduate/Diploma in Printing, Packaging, Supply Chain, or related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant experience in a printing/packaging manufacturing unit.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
