Purchase Executive – Raw Materials (Hide & Skin & Chemicals)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and field-oriented Purchase Executive responsible for the procurement of raw hide & skin and industrial chemicals for our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of Kasur skin market and nationwide hide/skin markets, along with hands-on experience in tanning and raw material procurement practices.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Market Handling

· Procure raw hide & skin from Kasur and other nationwide markets

· Monitor daily market rates, trends, and availability

· Ensure timely procurement as per production requirements

Chemical Procurement

· Procure all required industrial chemicals (lime, acid, enzymes, etc.)

· Ensure quality compliance and proper supplier selection

· Monitor pricing and maintain cost efficiency

Supplier Management

· Develop and manage strong relationships with:

o Hide/skin traders and suppliers

o Chemical vendors

· Negotiate pricing, credit terms, and supply conditions

Technical & Quality Evaluation

· Evaluate hides/skins based on:

o Grading standards

o Weight, size, and defects

· Hands-on experience in:

o Salting and preservation

o Footing and yield estimation

· Ensure materials meet production requirements

Field Operations

· Visit markets, suppliers, and procurement points regularly

· Conduct on-ground inspections and verification

SAP & System Handling

· Use SAP Business One (Purchase Module) for:

o Purchase Orders (PO)

o Goods Receipt (GRN)

o Vendor management and reconciliation

o Invoice coordination

· Ensure proper documentation and system compliance

Requirements

· 3–7 years experience in hide/skin procurement (gelatin, leather, or tanning industry preferred)

· Strong knowledge of:

o Kasur skin market

o Nationwide supplier networks

· Experience in salting, footing, and grading

· Knowledge of chemical procurement

· Proficiency in SAP Business One (Purchase Module)

· Strong negotiation and field handling skills

· Willingness to travel and work in mandi/field conditions

Pay: Rs50,000.00 - Rs120,000.00 per month
