Role Overview

The Purchase Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the procurement process for both healthcare (hospital consumables, equipment, medicines, and services) and solar/industrial (raw materials, components, spare parts, and project supplies) requirements. This role ensures cost-effective, timely, and quality procurement while maintaining strong vendor relationships and adhering to organizational policies.

Key ResponsibilitiesFor Nalam Hospital

  • Procure medicines, medical consumables, hospital equipment, uniforms, housekeeping items, and other essentials.
  • Maintain vendor database for pharmaceutical suppliers, equipment providers, and service contractors.
  • Ensure timely availability of critical items to support hospital operations without stockouts.
  • Negotiate best rates with suppliers while ensuring quality standards.
  • Verify stock levels and coordinate with pharmacy, nursing, and admin departments.
  • Implement transparent purchasing practices and maintain accurate records.

For Sunbest Solar

  • Procure solar panels, inverters, batteries, structures, cables, and related project materials.
  • Coordinate with project engineers for material specifications and delivery timelines.
  • Identify, evaluate, and finalize vendors/suppliers for solar and industrial projects.
  • Negotiate contracts, manage purchase orders, and track deliveries for projects.
  • Maintain cost efficiency while ensuring material quality and compliance with industry standards.
  • Work closely with logistics for timely dispatch and installation support.

Common Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective procurement policies and SOPs.
  • Build long-term vendor relationships to ensure reliability and quality.
  • Conduct regular market research to identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor purchase budgets and prepare periodic MIS reports for management.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory norms, GST, and company policies.
  • Coordinate between hospital and solar teams for joint purchase benefits where applicable.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
  • Knowledge of hospital consumables, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment.
  • Understanding of solar industry materials and supply chain.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Analytical and cost-control mindset.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, ERP/Purchase software.

Qualification

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • Diploma/Certification in Materials Management preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹23,000.00 per month
