Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Sourcing & Management:Identifying, evaluating, and selecting reliable suppliers and vendors based on quality, cost, and delivery criteria.
- Negotiation:Negotiating contracts, terms, and pricing with suppliers to secure favorable agreements.
- Purchase Order Management:Creating, reviewing, and processing purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Cost Control:Analyzing total cost of ownership and optimizing budgets for purchased goods and services.
- Market Analysis:Conducting market research and analyzing trends in pricing, supply, and new products to inform procurement strategies.
- Inventory Management:Collaborating to forecast demand and optimize inventory levels, ensuring materials are available when needed.
- Quality Assurance:Establishing and ensuring adherence to quality standards for purchased materials and services.
- Record Keeping:Maintaining accurate and organized records of purchases, pricing, deliveries, invoices, and supplier information.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:Working closely with internal departments (e.g., finance, operations, engineering) to understand their procurement needs.
- Problem Resolution:Resolving any issues with suppliers regarding delivery, quality, service, or invoicing.
