About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled and result-oriented Vendor Cum Purchase Manager to manage procurement and vendor operations for our civil and interior turnkey fit-out projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in vendor development, material procurement, negotiations, cost optimization, and ensuring timely deliveries to support our ongoing projects across commercial, retail, co-working, data center, and hospitality sectors.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement Strategy Development
- Analyze project requirements and create detailed procurement plans (materials, quantities, timelines).
- Research, evaluate, and finalize suppliers based on quality, price, delivery capability, and financial strength.
- Develop and implement vendor selection criteria aligned with company standards and project specifications.
Vendor Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and contractors.
- Negotiate favorable pricing, credit terms, and contracts.
- Conduct regular performance reviews on vendor quality, delivery, and compliance.
- Resolve supplier-related issues including quality concerns or delays.
Purchase Order Management
- Review and approve purchase requisitions raised by project/site teams.
- Generate and issue purchase orders with accurate specifications and delivery deadlines.
- Track PO status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time deliveries.
Cost Control & Optimization
- Monitor market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Negotiate discounts, rate contracts, and volume-based agreements.
- Track procurement budgets and highlight areas for savings without compromising quality.
Quality Assurance
- Implement quality control checks for incoming materials as per project specifications.
- Coordinate inspections and address non-conformance issues with vendors.
Inventory & Logistics Management
- Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels at site/warehouse.
- Work with project managers to forecast requirements and plan timely material availability.
- Optimize storage, transportation, and logistics for smooth execution.
Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, legal requirements, and audit norms.
- Prepare and maintain reports on vendor performance, procurement costs, and risk analysis.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering, Interior Design, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience in procurement/vendor management in the civil & interior fit-out industry.
- Strong knowledge of civil & interior materials, finishes, MEP items, and fit-out standards.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor networking, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, ERP, and procurement/inventory management software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams, consultants, and vendors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
