Responsibilities
- Procurement and Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select vendors and suppliers for construction materials (e.g., cement, steel, electrical items) and services.
- Negotiation and Cost Control: Negotiate prices, contracts, and payment terms to ensure cost-effectiveness without compromising quality. Analyze project budgets and expenses to implement cost-saving measures.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with suppliers and vendors. Evaluate vendors based on quality, reliability, and price.
- Inventory and Logistics: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with other departments to forecast and manage supply needs. Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure that all procured materials and services meet required quality standards and project specifications. Address and resolve quality-related issues.
- Reporting and Compliance: Prepare reports on procurement activities, spending, and budget variances. Maintain accurate records of all purchases, invoices, and purchase orders. Ensure all activities comply with company policies and external regulations.
- Team Collaboration: Work with project managers, finance, and other internal teams to align procurement activities with project timelines and goals.
