Purchase Manager

The Purchase Manager at Crystal Arc will be responsible for managing the procurement of raw materials, components, and services essential for the production of customized gift items made from metal, resin, and crystal. The role involves supplier management, cost optimization, quality assurance, and timely material availability to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and on-time client deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement Planning:

Develop and implement strategic purchasing plans aligned with production schedules and sales forecasts.

Vendor Development & Management:

Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for metal, resin, crystal, packaging materials, and finishing accessories.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to ensure best value and long-term partnerships.

Material Management:

Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials by maintaining optimal inventory levels and monitoring lead times.

Coordinate with the production and design teams for special material requirements for custom orders.

Cost Control:

Analyze market trends, material costs, and logistics expenses to identify cost-saving opportunities.

Implement procurement strategies that reduce waste and improve efficiency.

Quality Assurance:

Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure all incoming materials meet required standards and specifications.

Manage supplier audits and corrective actions when necessary.

Documentation & Compliance:

Maintain accurate purchase records, supplier contracts, and import/export documentation.

Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.

Cross-Functional Coordination:

Work closely with design, production, logistics, and finance teams to align procurement with overall business objectives.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

MBA or certification in procurement (e.g., CIPS, ISM) preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 5–8 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management within a manufacturing or gifting industry.

Experience sourcing metal, resin, and crystal materials is highly desirable.

Excellent knowledge of procurement software and ERP systems

Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines
