Procurement Executive – Construction Division (Abu Dhabi)

About the Role

We are seeking a Procurement Executive to join our operations team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process — from sourcing and negotiation to purchase order execution and supplier management — ensuring all materials, equipment, and services are procured on time, within budget, and at the best quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review project BOQs and material schedules to identify procurement requirements.
• Source, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for materials, equipment, and services.
• Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and compare proposals to ensure competitive pricing.
• Prepare quotation comparison sheets and get necessary approvals before issuing purchase orders.
• Issue and manage Purchase Orders (POs), track deliveries, and ensure timely receipt of materials.
• Build and maintain a qualified vendor database with regular performance reviews.
• Coordinate with project and site teams to ensure material availability as per schedule.
• Monitor and control procurement costs to align with approved budgets.
• Ensure proper documentation for audit trails — POs, quotations, invoices, and delivery notes.
• Liaise with accounts for vendor invoice verification and payment processing.
• Generate weekly and monthly procurement status reports for management review.

Key Performance Indicators

• 100% of POs issued within 48 hours of receiving requisition.
• Vendor confirmation within 7 days of project kick-off.
• Minimum of three competitive quotations for each item category.
• 8–10% cost savings on procurement in at least 80% of projects.
• Zero delays due to material non-availability.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or Engineering.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in construction procurement within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of materials, MEP items, and vendor sourcing in the local market.
• Excellent negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with ERP systems preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.

Work Schedule

• 6-day work week (based in Abu Dhabi office, with occasional site visits).
