Purchase Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure electrical components, panels, cables, wiring accessories, tools, and related raw materials from approved vendors.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for price, quality, credit terms, and delivery timelines.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders as per the production and inventory requirements.
  • Maintain vendor database and establish alternate sources to ensure supply continuity.
  • Coordinate with the production, quality, and stores departments to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Ensure that all purchased materials comply with technical specifications and quality standards.
  • Monitor stock levels and plan procurement schedules to avoid shortages or overstocking.
  • Assist in conducting supplier audits and performance evaluations periodically.
  • Handle logistics coordination for inbound material deliveries.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, GRNs, and related documentation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in purchase/procurement in an electrical or electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of electrical components, technical drawings, and specifications.
  • Knowledge of procurement practices, vendor management, and cost control.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle or similar).
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹55,000.00 per month
