Key Responsibilities:
- Source and procure electrical components, panels, cables, wiring accessories, tools, and related raw materials from approved vendors.
- Evaluate and negotiate with suppliers for price, quality, credit terms, and delivery timelines.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders as per the production and inventory requirements.
- Maintain vendor database and establish alternate sources to ensure supply continuity.
- Coordinate with the production, quality, and stores departments to ensure timely availability of materials.
- Ensure that all purchased materials comply with technical specifications and quality standards.
- Monitor stock levels and plan procurement schedules to avoid shortages or overstocking.
- Assist in conducting supplier audits and performance evaluations periodically.
- Handle logistics coordination for inbound material deliveries.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, GRNs, and related documentation.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in purchase/procurement in an electrical or electronics manufacturing environment.
- Good understanding of electrical components, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Knowledge of procurement practices, vendor management, and cost control.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle or similar).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
