Job Description – Purchase Manager
Department: Supply Chain
Location: Mumbai - Fort
Reporting To: Production Head
Industry Preference: QSR / Food Industry / FMCG
1. Role Overview
The SCM Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, vendor management, inventory control, logistics coordination, material planning, and cost optimization. The role ensures timely availability of Raw Materials (RM), Packaging Materials (PM), consumables, and equipment to support ongoing production and retail operations.
2. Key Responsibilities
A. Procurement & Vendor Management
- Lead end-to-end procurement of RM, PM, consumables, equipment, and services.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors to ensure quality, competitive pricing, and reliability.
- Conduct price negotiation, finalize contracts, and maintain long-term supplier relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company procurement SOPs and financial guidelines.
- Monitor vendor delivery performance, lead times, SLAs, and quality parameters.
B. Supply Chain & Material Planning
- Plan material procurement based on production demand, sales forecast, and consumption patterns.
- Manage weekly/monthly demand forecasting using historical data and seasonality trends.
- Coordinate with Production, Operations, and Finance to align supply chain activities with business needs.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure smooth procurement and distribution across outlets / CK / warehouse.
C. Inventory Management
- Oversee inbound and outbound stock movement across warehouses, CK, and outlets.
- Ensure accurate stock records in ERP/SAP systems (GRN, GI, Return Notes, etc.).
- Conduct regular stock audits to identify slow-moving, expired, or obsolete items.
- Maintain optimal stock levels by implementing FIFO, FEFO, and inventory control processes.
D. Logistics & Distribution
- Coordinate dispatch planning and timely material movement across all hubs/outlets.
- Work with logistics partners to ensure timely inbound/outbound deliveries.
- Resolve supply chain bottlenecks, shortages, and transportation issues proactively.
E. Process Excellence & Compliance
- Implement SOPs for procurement, inventory management, and vendor control.
- Identify areas of cost reduction, process improvement, and workflow optimization.
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and audit standards for materials and suppliers.
- Prepare MIS reports on procurement, stock, vendor performance, and cost tracking.
3. Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of SAP MM / ERP systems (PetPooja, Axapta, SAP).
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and cost-control skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving capability.
- Ability to handle multi-location supply chain operations.
- Knowledge of QSR/Food industry procurement standards (preferred).
- Good communication, leadership, and team coordination skills.
4. Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Graduate in Supply Chain / Commerce / Engineering; MBA preferred.
- Experience:
- 6–10 years in Procurement / SCM roles.
- Experience in QSR / Food Industry / FMCG preferred.
- Hands-on experience with SAP MM & Inventory Management.
5. Key Deliverables

Pay: ₹90,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
