Purchase Officer - Construction

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and purchase construction materials, equipment, and services as per project requirements, ensuring adherence to specifications, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and international suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing, quality assurance, and reliability.
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers to achieve cost savings without compromising quality or project deadlines.
• Monitor stock levels, track material usage, and ensure timely replenishment to meet project requirements while avoiding overstocking.
• Prepare, issue, and track purchase orders (POs), ensuring that all orders align with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
• Collaborate with the procurement team to manage procurement budgets, ensuring materials are purchased within the allocated budget without sacrificing quality.
• Ensure that all materials and services purchased meet the required quality standards and specifications before they are delivered to project sites.
• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, including vendor contracts, purchase orders, delivery receipts, and payment documentation. Provide regular procurement reports to management.
• Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and UAE legal requirements.
• Address and resolve any procurement-related issues, including delivery delays, quality discrepancies, or supplier performance concerns.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably within the construction or building contracting industry.
• Strong negotiation abilities to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms from suppliers and vendors.
• Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all procurement processes and documentation.
