JOB OBJECTIVE

To manage the procurement of hardware and factory-related materials by leveraging extensive market knowledge and supplier networks. The Purchaser will ensure cost-effective, timely, and high-quality sourcing of items essential for smooth factory operations.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers for hardware and factory materials.
  • Negotiate prices, terms, and delivery schedules with vendors to ensure cost savings and reliable supply.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of hardware markets, including shops, pricing trends, and product availability.
  • Procure tools, spare parts, raw materials, and consumables required for factory operations.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and consistent supply.
  • Manage purchase requests, issue purchase orders, and monitor timely deliveries.
  • Inspect and verify the quality, quantity, and compliance of purchased materials.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier information.
  • Ensure compliance with company purchasing policies and factory requirements.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, production, and accounts departments for smooth supply chain flow.
  • Conduct regular market surveys to identify new suppliers, better pricing, and alternative materials.
  • Support logistics and transportation of purchased items, including local pickups.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 8 years of proven experience as a Purchaser in the hardware market and factory procurement.
  • Extensive knowledge of all hardware shops, items, and pricing in the local market.
  • Previous experience in factory-related purchasing (spare parts, machinery consumables, etc.).
  • Valid UAE driving license and ownership of a car.
  • Strong vendor network and established relationships in the market.

REQUIRED SKILLS

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Strong market awareness and product knowledge.
  • Ability to handle multiple purchase requests under tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word).
  • Strong analytical and cost comparison skills.
  • Attention to detail with high accuracy in record-keeping.
  • Problem-solving skills to handle supply disruptions or quality issues.
  • Self-motivated and reliable, with a proactive approach to purchasing.
