We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Purchaser to support day-to-day procurement activities across multiple locations. This role will focus on sourcing finished goods, MRO supplies, and non-inventory purchases to ensure timely and cost-effective supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with ERP/MRP systems, strong organizational skills, and the ability to collaborate with internal teams and external suppliers to keep our production and operations running smoothly.

Position Overview:
The Purchaser is responsible for issuing purchase orders, maintaining accurate purchasing data, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring material availability to meet production and operational needs. This role will collaborate with multiple departments, monitor supplier performance, and support cost control and compliance across procurement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute procurement of finished goods, MRO, and non-inventory supplies across U.S. locations.
- Utilize SAP MRP to create purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain vendor master data.
- Collaborate with production, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure adequate material availability.
- Manage routine supplier communications regarding pricing, lead times, and order status.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes, issue RFQs/RFPs, and assist with vendor selection based on cost, quality, and delivery performance.
- Resolve supplier-related issues such as delivery delays, invoice discrepancies, or quality concerns.
- Maintain accurate vendor records, contracts, and compliance documentation.
- Support reporting on procurement metrics, cost analysis, and supplier performance as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Procurement, or a related field (preferred).
Experience:
- 3+ years of purchasing/procurement experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with SAP S/4HANA or comparable ERP/MRP systems preferred.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective written and verbal communication abilities
- Familiarity with RFQ/RFP processes and vendor management best practices
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Basic analytical skills for cost comparison and supplier performance tracking
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
