Company Overview

Since 1984, Koha Foods has been one of Hawai‘i’s largest Asian and specialty food distributors, proudly serving restaurants, supermarkets, and local stores across the islands. Alongside national and regional brands, we produce our own line of gourmet Korean items and local favorites like kimchi and boiled peanuts.

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Korean Speaking Purchaser to help source, negotiate, and manage products that keep our distribution running smoothly. This is a critical role ensuring Koha Foods delivers the quality and reliability our customers expect.

What You’ll Do

• Source and purchase quality products at competitive prices
• Build and maintain supplier relationships (new and existing)
• Negotiate and manage contracts for the best pricing and quality
• Process and verify purchase requisitions and orders
• Track shipments, resolve issues, and ensure on-time deliveries
• Verify merchandise meets specifications and quality standards
• Communicate changes with warehouse operations and accounting
• Monitor and maintain accuracy of inventory systems

What We’re Looking For

• Fluent in Korean (required)
• Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or related field (preferred)
• 2+ years of purchasing experience
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
• Excellent planning, organization, and analytical skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Effective communicator; able to multitask and work under pressure
