K&H Truckweld is seeking a PURCHASING AGENT

The Purchasing Agent will play a key role in supporting our production operations by sourcing materials and services, building supplier relationships, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement. Responsibilities:

• Research and compare suppliers, goods, and services to identify the most reliable and cost-effective options
• Select suppliers based on product quality, reliability, and price
• Collaberate with the Inventory Specialist to determine purchasing needs
• Request cost proposals and negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers
• Place orders with suppliers and monitor order status to ensure timely delivery
• Verify receipt of items by comparing delivered goods to purchase orders
• Resolve shipment discrepancies or errors with suppliers
• Authorize payment for purchases by forwarding receiving documentation

Qualifications:

• Experience as a Purchasing Agent or in a similar procurement role
• Background in fabrication production or commercial truck dealership a plus
• Strong research, negotiation, and communication skills
• Strong working background in ERP system and Microsoft Office
• Attention to detail and ability to resolve issues with suppliers
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal teams

• fabrication production and/or commercial truck dealership experience a plus
