You will be working with a team of professionals for a well-known, highly regarded dermatology practice who puts our patients above all else.
The Purchasing Analyst supports the procurement function by analyzing purchasing data, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring the accuracy of purchasing records and systems. This person works across departments and locations to optimize purchasing strategies and improve vendor performance. The Purchasing Analyst may perform other duties and special projects as needed or assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Analyze vendor performance to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Analyze purchasing trends for alignment with the budget
- Maintain and update purchasing data in the inventory and procurement systems.
- Generate reports on purchasing metrics, inventory levels, and supplier compliance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of purchasing policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and plan procurement activities.
- Support vendor selection and evaluation processes.
- Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Complete other duties and special projects as assigned or as necessary.

EDUCATION
- Associate degree or higher in Business, Supply Chain, or related field is required
EXPERIENCE
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain analysis (preferred)
- Strong proficiency in MS Excel and other data analysis tools
- Experience with ERP or inventory management systems
- Strong written communication and presentation skills
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
To the extent necessary for the performance of the job duties of a Purchasing Analyst, the ability to analyze data sets, perform cost comparisons, and calculate savings using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, and percentages.
REASONING ABILITY
Must possess strong analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret purchasing data and recommend improvements. Must be able to resolve complications involving multiple variables, in sometimes stressful situations, in accordance with company policies and values.
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND CONDITIONS
Work is generally performed in an office environment with occasional travel to other locations possible. Involves frequent communication with internal and external stakeholders. May require some flexibility in working hours. Multi-tasking and attention to detail are important aspects of this role.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work requires prolonged periods of sitting, with periods of standing and walking. Requires repetitive hand, wrist, and shoulder motion. Moderate typing skills and sufficient finger and hand dexterity to operate a keyboard, calculator, telephone, copier, and other office equipment as necessary. Some bending and stooping required. Lifting up to 10 pounds required, with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds. Normal vision required, with or without corrective lenses. Normal hearing is required.
