Purchasing Coordinator

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Purchasing Coordinator to join our dynamic supply chain team. This role is pivotal in managing procurement activities, ensuring the seamless acquisition of goods and services necessary for our manufacturing and operational processes. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of procurement management, supplier relations, and inventory control, contributing to the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our supply chain operations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS, while supporting the organization’s strategic sourcing initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate procurement activities by processing purchase requisitions and purchase orders within ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle EBS.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts, ensuring optimal value and compliance with company policies.
  • Manage supplier relationships through regular communication, performance evaluation, and vendor management strategies.
  • Monitor inventory levels using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to maintain appropriate stock levels and prevent shortages.
  • Support contract management processes by reviewing, drafting, and maintaining procurement agreements with vendors.
  • Oversee logistics coordination to ensure timely delivery of goods while managing costs and resolving supply chain disruptions.
  • Conduct sourcing activities to identify new suppliers or alternative sources that enhance quality and reduce costs.
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions, contracts, and supplier performance metrics.
  • Assist in implementing procurement best practices across departments to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Experience

  • Minimum of three years’ experience in procurement management or supply chain coordination within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Proven proficiency with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle EBS for procurement, inventory management, and supply chain operations.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing strategies, contract negotiation, vendor management, and logistics coordination.
  • Familiarity with inventory control techniques, pricing strategies, and supply chain optimization principles.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, logistics, finance, and legal departments.
  • Excellent negotiation skills coupled with the ability to build sustainable supplier relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities effectively while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
