Purchasing Manager

We are a rapidly growing plumbing and mechanical subcontractor seeking a highly organized and motivated Purchasing Agent to join our team. Position Summary

The Purchasing Agent will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, equipment, and services to support multiple active construction projects. The ideal candidate has strong vendor relationships, excellent negotiation skills, and a proactive approach to keeping projects on schedule and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and purchase plumbing and mechanical materials and equipment
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors
• Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate deliveries to meet project timelines
• Work closely with project managers and field teams to ensure material accuracy and availability
• Track purchase orders and resolve discrepancies
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality

Qualifications

• Knowledge of plumbing and mechanical materials strongly preferred
• Strong negotiation and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and purchasing software systems
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
