We’re headquartered in North Carolina, but we are expanding rapidly across the U.S. This role is fully remote but requires a boots-on-the-ground presence in Orange County and surrounding regions.

About the Role

We’re looking for a Purchasing Manager based in Orange County, CA, to lead our procurement efforts across California. You’ll be responsible for sourcing premium hemp flower, reviewing supplier compliance, and traveling to farms to inspect product quality. You’ll work closely with our inventory and sales teams to ensure demand is met with consistent, compliant supply.

This is a remote role with local travel, ideal for someone who knows the cannabis/hemp supply chain and has a sharp eye for quality and detail.

Responsibilities

• Source and maintain relationships with licensed hemp farms and vendors
• Travel across California to inspect, verify, and approve THCa flower and other products
• Monitor inventory levels vs sales velocity to forecast future purchasing needs
• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines
• Ensure every product meets Farm Bill compliance standards (THCa % limits, COAs, traceability)
• Maintain a clean purchase order system with supporting documentation
• Work with operations and logistics teams to coordinate inbound shipments
• Report weekly on vendor performance, quality, and supply issues
• Track market trends and pricing to stay competitive and proactive

Requirements

• Located in or near Orange County, CA
• 2+ years in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain (cannabis or hemp preferred)
• Familiar with hemp compliance standards and COA interpretation
• Willing and able to travel to farms, production sites, and events throughout CA
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits
• Comfortable using spreadsheets, CRM, and inventory systems
• Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license

Bonus If You Have

• Knowledge of THCa flower grading, quality, and bag appeal
• Relationships with California hemp growers or processors
• Experience with Zoho CRM, Zoho Inventory, or similar tools
• Background in cannabis cultivation, lab testing, or distribution
