Job Summary:
ScaleUp Connect is seeking an experienced and results-driven Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement activities for IT hardware products in the U.S. market. This key role will require a candidate with a deep understanding of U.S.-based suppliers, market trends, and procurement processes within the IT hardware sector. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of sourcing, negotiating, and managing U.S. vendor relationships. This position involves working night shifts to align with U.S. market hours and is based in Lahore.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead procurement of IT hardware (laptops, PCs, GPUs, CPUs, RAM, SSDs, etc.) for the U.S. market, ensuring product availability and competitive pricing.
- Manage relationships with U.S. suppliers, ensuring timely delivery, quality control, and cost-effectiveness.
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with U.S.-based vendors to secure the best deals and ensure adherence to procurement timelines.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify and evaluate potential suppliers, assessing their capabilities to meet the needs of the U.S. market.
- Monitor procurement processes to ensure compliance with company policies, U.S. regulations, and industry standards.
- Work closely with logistics and operations teams to ensure efficient delivery and inventory management for U.S. clients.
- Prepare and manage detailed procurement reports, tracking orders, supplier performance, and procurement trends for U.S. market demands.
- Ensure procurement alignment with company business objectives and timelines specific to the U.S. market.
- Resolve procurement-related issues promptly, including delays, discrepancies, and quality control concerns.
- Mentor and manage the procurement team, providing guidance on sourcing, supplier negotiations, and procurement strategy.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing management, with a focus on U.S. market sourcing and IT hardware products.
- Proven experience working with U.S.-based suppliers and knowledge of U.S. procurement processes.
- Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms with U.S. vendors.
- In-depth understanding of IT hardware (laptops, PCs, GPUs, CPUs, RAM, SSDs, accessories) and the associated procurement processes.
- Leadership experience in managing procurement teams and driving results.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems, procurement software, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and ability to interpret market data and supplier performance.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for liaising with U.S.-based vendors and internal teams.
- Experience working U.S. hours: This position requires working from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM Lahore time, aligning with U.S. market schedules.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management with a strong focus on sourcing for the U.S. market and IT hardware.

- Night Shift Requirement: This role requires working from 7:00 PM to 4:00 AM, Monday to Friday, to align with U.S. business hours.
