Purchasing Officer - Building Material

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer - Building Materials to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for procuring building materials and services for our construction projects. The role involves sourcing and purchasing materials, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Procure building materials and services from approved suppliers, ensuring competitive pricing and quality standards.

2. Source new suppliers and maintain relationships with existing ones to ensure a robust supply chain.

3. Prepare and issue purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documents.

4. Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and payment terms with suppliers.

5. Track and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and resolving any issues that may arise.

6. Conduct market research to identify new products, trends, and opportunities for cost savings.

7. Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including project managers, engineers, and quantity surveyors.

8. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

9. Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier performance.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.

2. Proven experience in purchasing, preferably in the construction industry.

3. Strong knowledge of building materials and construction practices.

4. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.

6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

7. Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, and purchasing software.

8. UAE Driving License preferred
