Quality Control Inspector

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a project QAQC role in the
• Required License/Certification: BGAS Gr-2/CSWIP 3.1 and ASNT Level.2 qualification

Responsibilities

• modular construction or steel fabrication industry.
• Inspection and testing of welding and painting.
• Ensure quality compliance, Defect identification and Resolution.
• Documentation and reporting, standards Adherence.
• Check welds for defects (cracks, porosity, undercuts) using visual inspection and NDT methods (DP/ MP).
• Verify weld dimensions, alignment, and penetration per engineering drawings/WPS.
• Ensure proper pre-weld preparation (cleaning, joint fit-up) and post-weld treatment (grinding).
• Inspect surface preparation (blasting, cleaning) to meet standards.
• Measure paint thickness (DFT) and adhesion (cross-cut test) for compliance.
• Identify defects (runs, sags, orange peel) and ensure proper curing/drying.
• Record inspection results, issue NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and approve rework.
• Validate materials (filler metals, paints) against specifications and MSDS (safety data).
• Work with production supervisors to resolve defects and prevent recurrence.
• Support audits and continuous improvement (e.g., ISO, customer audits).
• Ensure defect-free welds/paint finishes that meet quality, safety, and customer standards.
