Quality Controller – Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) with dossier / documentation

Job Purpose

To ensure all Electrical & Instrumentation works are executed in compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes/standards, and QA/QC procedures, while maintaining complete and traceable quality documentation (dossier) throughout the project lifecycle.
Office: Gulberg Greens, Islamabad

Project / Site Location: Kohat / Karak

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Quality Control (E&I Works)

Conduct inspection of Electrical & Instrumentation installation activities including:

• Cable laying, glanding, termination, and dressing
• Earthing and bonding systems
• Panel installation (MCC, PLC, Control Panels)
• Instrument installation (sensors, transmitters, flow meters, etc.)

Ensure compliance with approved drawings, method statements, and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)

Perform stage-wise inspections (material receiving, installation, pre-commissioning, commissioning)

Verify workmanship quality and adherence to project specifications and standards (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.)

Raise NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports) for deviations and ensure timely close-out

2. Testing & Commissioning Support

Witness and verify testing activities:

• Continuity, insulation resistance (IR) tests
• Loop checks and calibration of instruments
• Functional testing of control systems
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning activities

Coordinate with client/consultant for inspections and approvals (RFI process)

3. QA/QC Documentation & Dossier Control

Responsible for maintaining complete Quality Dossier / Final Documentation Package, including but not limited to:

• Inspection & Approval Records
• Inspection Request (IR / RFI) logs and approvals
• Material Inspection Reports (MIR)
• Site inspection checklists (installation & testing stages)
• Punch lists and close-out reports

Testing & Certification Documents

• Cable test reports (IR, continuity, megger tests)
• Instrument calibration certificates
• Loop check sheets
• FAT (Factory Acceptance Test) & SAT (Site Acceptance Test) reports
• Pre-commissioning and commissioning records

Quality Control Records

• Approved ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans)
• Method Statements
• NCR reports and corrective action records
• Deviation reports and technical queries (TQ/RFI responses)

Handover / As-Built Documentation

• As-built drawings (red line markups and final issued drawings)
• Equipment datasheets and manuals
• Vendor documents and certificates of compliance
• Cable schedules, termination lists, and loop drawings
• Final handover dossier compilation and indexing

4. Coordination & Compliance

• Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and contractors for inspections and approvals
• Ensure compliance with project QA/QC procedures and HSE requirements
• Support audits (internal, client, third-party) and close findings

Required Skills & Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of Electrical & Instrumentation systems
• Familiarity with QA/QC standards and documentation systems
• Understanding of industrial codes (IEC, IEEE, NFPA, etc.)
• Experience in dossier preparation and handover documentation
• Attention to detail and strong coordination skills
