Our client is a multidisciplinary, third-party approved engineering firm providing structural, MEP, inspection, testing, and certification services to the construction industry, delivering cost-effective and high-quality engineering solutions and they are looking to hire a Quality Assurance Engineer.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS). The role will focus on monitoring quality processes, ensuring compliance with international standards, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement across testing, inspection, laboratory, or construction operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management System (QMS)

  • Implement and maintain the Quality Management System in line with ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17020, and ISO/IEC 17025 standards
  • Ensure all operational activities comply with approved procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Monitor and report on QMS performance and suggest improvements

2. Quality Assurance & Control

  • Monitor site, laboratory, or inspection activities to ensure compliance with project specifications and international standards (ASTM, BS, AASHTO, etc.)
  • Review and verify inspection reports, test results, and technical documentation for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of testing and measuring equipment

3. Audit & Compliance

  • Conduct internal audits and support external audits by certification bodies and authorities (e.g., EIAC, ENAS, ADNOC, etc.)
  • Identify non-conformities and ensure timely closure through corrective actions
  • Maintain audit records and compliance documentation

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare, review, and control quality documentation including:
  • Method Statements
  • Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs)
  • SOPs and procedures
  • Quality reports and logs
  • Ensure document control and version management are properly maintained

5. Non-Conformance & Continuous Improvement

  • Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs)
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
  • Identify trends and recommend process improvements

6. Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with project teams, laboratory staff, inspectors, and external stakeholders
  • Provide technical guidance on quality requirements and standards
  • Support training and awareness initiatives related to quality processes

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Industrial, or related field)
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in QA/QC within construction, testing laboratories, or inspection environments
  • Strong knowledge of: ISO 9001, ISO/IEC 17020, ISO/IEC 17025, International standards (ASTM, BS, AASHTO)
  • Experience in internal/external audits and QMS implementation
  • Familiarity with laboratory testing, inspection processes, or construction QA/QC
