We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Intern to join our team for the summer. This role offers hands-on experience in quality analytics, process improvement, and cross-functional collaboration, supporting key initiatives across operations and quality teams.

Job Scope

The Quality Intern will partner with plant quality, operations, finance, and regional teams to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives. This includes developing methodologies for cost tracking, enhancing data analytics capabilities, and supporting plant-level performance analysis.

Key Responsibilities

Project 1: Data Analytics & Dashboard Development

  • Assist in the development of AI-driven data capture and analysis tools across multiple locations
  • Collaborate with plant teams to design and implement dashboards using Axion and FTQ/FTY metrics
  • Conduct detailed analysis of JDE data to improve waste tracking and enhance work order–level accuracy
  • Identify opportunities to improve data integrity and reporting processes

Project 2: Customer & Supplier Quality Insights

  • Support North America Quality Liaison initiatives related to customer channels, direct sales, and suppliers
  • Analyze both quantitative and qualitative data to better understand customer needs and quality trends
  • Contribute to the development of tools or models that enhance customer feedback analysis

Project 3: Plant Performance & Cost Analysis

  • Partner with quality managers and operations teams to analyze plant performance metrics
  • Assist in developing standardized methodologies for cost capture and performance measurement
  • Support reporting and insights generation to drive continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements:
  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related field), Data Analytics, Statistics, Business Analytics, or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) preferred
  • Familiarity with data analysis concepts; exposure to AI, machine learning, or statistical modeling is a plus
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
  • Self-motivated, organized, and eager to learn in a fast-paced setting
