Key Responsibilities1. Cost Estimation & Budgeting
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil projects.
- Assist in preparing project budgets, BOQs, and cost breakdowns.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for new projects.
2. Tendering & Contracts
- Prepare tender documents, bills of quantities (BOQ), and bid evaluations.
- Review contractor quotations and negotiate prices.
- Assist in contract drafting, variations, and claims management.
3. Measurement & Valuation
- Perform site measurements and verify contractor work done.
- Prepare Interim Payment Certificates (IPC).
- Maintain updated records of quantities and materials used.
4. Cost Control & Monitoring
- Track project costs and compare with approved budgets.
- Identify cost variations and provide justifications.
- Prepare monthly cost reports and financial progress summaries.
5. Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with site engineers, consultants, and contractors.
- Maintain proper documentation of drawings, contracts, and changes.
- Support project team with technical and cost-related information.
6. Compliance & Quality
- Ensure work complies with company standards, specifications, and laws.
- Verify material quality and conformity to project requirements.
- Conduct site visits for progress monitoring.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying.
- Minimum 2–5 years relevant experience (depending on company policy).
- Strong knowledge of BOQs, cost analysis, and construction materials.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and QS software.
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
- Strong communication and report-writing abilities.
