Key Responsibilities
- Carry out precise quantity take-offs and measurements for Civil and MEP works using IFC drawings, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Prepare, review, and finalize Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Develop detailed cost estimates, project budgets, and value engineering proposals to achieve cost efficiency.
- Evaluate subcontractor quotations, assess variation orders, and handle claims negotiations.
- Track project expenditures, monitor material usage, and update cost-to-complete forecasts.
- Prepare interim payment applications, progress valuations, and final account statements.
- Administer contracts in accordance with FIDIC or other recognized contract standards.
- Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, building codes, and statutory regulations.
- Collaborate with design, procurement, planning, and construction teams to align cost management with execution strategies.
- Provide accurate cost reporting, cash flow projections, and financial updates to senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain comprehensive records of contracts, correspondence, variations, and financial documentation.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- 8–10 years of professional experience in GCC, preferably on large-scale or high-rise building projects.
- Strong expertise in both Civil and MEP quantity surveying practices.
- Proficiency in software such as AutoCAD, CostX, Bluebeam, Planswift, and MS Excel.
- Good knowledge of standard contract forms (FIDIC or equivalent).
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Highly detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Must possess a valid GCC Driving License.
