Quantity Surveyor (MEP) FIDIC Expertise

Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in MEP projects and a solid understanding of FIDIC contract conditions. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents for MEP projects.
• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor quotations and packages.
• Monitor project costs and prepare regular financial reports.
• Assess and process progress claims, variations, and final accounts.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions (particularly FIDIC).
• Assist in the preparation of contractual claims and dispute resolution.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure commercial efficiency.
• Conduct site visits and verify the physical progress of works for valuation purposes.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in quantity surveying within the MEP sector.
• Strong knowledge of FIDIC conditions of contract (Red, Yellow, or Silver Book preferred).
• Proven experience in cost control, contract administration, and claims.
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software (e.g., Candy, CostX) is a plus.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
