Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed quantity take-offs and material measurements for Civil, Structural, and MEP works using IFC drawings, shop drawings, and tender documents.
- Prepare, review, and update comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in line with project specifications and contractual requirements.
- Develop cost plans, budgets, and value engineering recommendations to ensure effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assess subcontractor quotations, review variation orders, and support fair and transparent negotiation processes.
- Monitor and report on project expenditures, material usage, and cash flow, preparing cost-to-complete and budget forecasts.
- Prepare interim payment applications, progress valuations, and final account settlements.
- Administer and manage contracts in accordance with FIDIC and other recognized contractual frameworks.
- Ensure compliance with approved project drawings, specifications, codes, and statutory requirements.
- Work closely with planning, procurement, engineering, and site teams to align cost management with project delivery.
- Produce regular financial reports, cost analyses, and updates for senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain organized records of contracts, variations, correspondence, progress payments, and claims.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.
- 7–10 years of professional experience in the GCC, preferably in high-rise, commercial, or large-scale construction projects.
- Strong technical expertise in Civil and MEP quantity surveying practices.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, CostX, Bluebeam, Planswift, MS Excel, and related cost management tools.
- Solid knowledge of contract administration (FIDIC or equivalent).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities to coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
- GCC work experience and a valid driving license are mandatory.
