Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) to support our growing portfolio of metal fabrication, industrial, and contracting projects in Qatar. The role focuses on cost control, BOQs, variations, and commercial coordination from tender stage through project completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, review, and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for metal fabrication and industrial projects
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and scope of work to ensure accurate quantity take-offs
• Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and tender evaluations
• Monitor project costs, variations, and claims to ensure financial control
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and support procurement decisions
• Prepare interim valuations, progress payments, and final accounts
• Manage variation orders, claims, and cost impact assessments
• Coordinate with Engineering, Production, Procurement, and Project Teams
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and Qatar market standards
• Support management with regular cost and financial reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Minimum 3–5 years of QS experience, preferably in metal fabrication, steel works, or industrial projects
• Strong knowledge of BOQs, cost estimation, variation management, and contracts
• Experience in Qatar or GCC market is highly preferred
• Proficiency in Excel and quantity surveying software
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and fabrication drawings
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills
• Good communication skills in English
