QuickBooks Consultant & Bookkeeper

We’re Hiring: Bookkeeper & QuickBooks Consultant (Remote)

VARC Solutions is growing! We’re looking to add a full-time Bookkeeper & QuickBooks Consultant/Advisor to our team!

The Role

This is a full-time client-facing position (Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM CST).

You’ll work directly with clients using:

• QuickBooks Desktop (primarily Enterprise)
• QuickBooks Online
• QuickBooks Payroll plus additional payroll platforms

This role combines hands-on bookkeeping, consulting, and advisory work.

What We’re Looking For

At a high level, you should:

• Be comfortable troubleshooting and training clients 1:1
• Handle cleanups, catch-ups, and month-end close
• Have hands-on experience with migrations (Desktop → QBO is a plus)
• Think beyond transactions and identify process improvements
• Enjoy solving problems and working directly with clients

Note: We do not provide CPA/tax services—this role does not include tax work.

Core Responsibilities | Bookkeeping

• Account coding and reconciliations
• Payroll, sales tax, and 1099 processing
• Month-end close activities
• Financial statement preparation
• Maintaining clean, accurate financial records

QuickBooks Consulting

• Troubleshooting client issues
• Providing QuickBooks training (1:1)
• Advising on best practices and workflows
• Improving client financial processes

Special Projects

• New file setups
• File reviews and financial health reports
• Cleanup and catch-up projects
• Shell file and migration projects

Client Communication

• Keeping clients informed on progress
• Requesting statements and documentation
• Coordinating on open items and questions

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $36.00 - $40.00 per hour
