Real Estate Developer - CEO

We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and results-driven CEO to lead our real estate development company through its next phase of growth. The CEO will set vision and strategy, lead land acquisition and project delivery, secure capital, build investor and stakeholder relationships, and ensure strong financial performance across a diversified development portfolio.

Key responsibilities

  • Strategy & leadership: Define and execute the company’s long-term strategic plan, market positioning, and business model for residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
  • Project oversight: Oversee the full lifecycle of development projects (land acquisition, master planning, entitlement, design, procurement, construction, handover and post-delivery operations) to ensure delivery on schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Financial & capital management: Drive financial performance, P&L and cash-flow management, capital raising and structuring (equity, debt, JV), underwriting approvals, and budgeting.
  • Investor & stakeholder relations: Build and maintain relationships with investors, board members, lenders, government agencies, joint-venture partners, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Land & business development: Lead land sourcing, feasibility assessment, market analysis, and deal negotiation to expand the project pipeline.
  • Risk, governance & compliance: Ensure compliance with local laws, regulations, and governance requirements; implement risk management, procurement, and contract oversight.
  • Organization & talent: Recruit, develop, and retain senior leadership and project teams; foster high-performance culture, set KPIs and performance incentives.
  • Corporate reputation & ESG: Represent the company publicly, promote brand and community engagement, and embed sustainability, health & safety, and ESG principles into developments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Civil Engineering, Architecture, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of senior leadership experience in real estate development, with a minimum 5–8 years in C-suite or equivalent executive roles.
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale development projects and meeting financial targets.
  • Strong financial acumen: experience with underwriting, capital structures, JV negotiations, and P&L ownership.
  • Deep knowledge of the Qatar market, GCC regulatory environment, permitting, and relationships with local authorities (preferred for Doha role).
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Ability to operate in multicultural environments and lead cross-functional teams.

Desired / preferred experience

  • Experience with master-planned, mixed-use, hotel, retail and residential projects.
  • Prior success raising and managing local and international capital (private equity, institutional investors, Islamic finance structures).
  • Public company, board-facing or shareholder management experience.
  • Track record implementing sustainability, smart-city, or ESG initiatives in developments.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic or other regional languages an advantage.

Pay: QAR330.00 - QAR1,000.00 per hour
