JOB DISCRIPTION
We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Receptionist to join our hospital team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring a welcoming and efficient front-desk experience. This role involves managing appointments, handling patient inquiries, maintaining accurate records, and supporting administrative operations to ensure smooth hospital functioning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet and assist patients, visitors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner.
- Manage incoming calls, emails, and messages; direct them to the appropriate departments.
- Schedule, confirm, and update patient appointments in the hospital system.
- Register new patients and update existing patient records accurately.
- Collect and verify patient information, insurance details, and required documentation.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure smooth workflow.
- Handle patient inquiries and provide information about hospital services.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the reception area.
- Receive payments, issue receipts, and maintain billing records .
- Ensure confidentiality of all patient information and compliance with hospital policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Hospital Management, Administration, or related field preferred.
- Prior experience as a Receptionist / Front Office Executive / Patient Service Representative in a hospital or clinic setting is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and hospital management software.
- Good typing and data entry skills.
