Receptionist

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-oriented Receptionist to join our team at Spartan Fitness, a premier fitness center dedicated to providing exceptional services to our members. The Receptionist will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the front desk, greeting and assisting members, handling inquiries, and performing administrative duties. This position requires excellent communication skills, multitasking ability, and a passion for fitness and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet members, guests, and prospective clients with a warm, welcoming attitude.
  • Answer phone calls, emails, and in-person inquiries regarding membership, services, and programs.
  • Provide information on fitness programs, schedules, promotions, and general facility policies.
  • Assist in the registration process for new members and provide facility tours when needed.
  • Manage membership check-ins and maintain accurate records of member attendance.
  • Schedule appointments, classes, and personal training sessions for members.
  • Process membership payments, renewals, and cancellations accurately.
  • Handle facility-related issues or complaints professionally and escalate to management as needed.
  • Keep the front desk area organized, clean, and well-stocked with necessary materials (brochures, forms, etc.).
  • Coordinate with fitness instructors and staff to ensure smooth daily operations.
  • Maintain and manage booking systems for classes, equipment, and services.
  • Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering supplies as required.
  • Promote a positive and supportive environment for all members and guests.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0 to 1 year experience in customer service or receptionist roles, preferably in a fitness or wellness setting.
  • Basic knowledge of fitness programs, gym equipment, and health and wellness trends is an added benefit.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and handle various duties in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly and approachable personality with a customer-first attitude.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook is preferred
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if required.
